Husband and wife duo Bryan Talbot and Mary M. Talbot (Dotter of Her Father’s Eyes, The Red Virgin and the Vision of Utopia) have a new graphic novel arriving this fall from Dark Horse Comics. According to an exclusive reveal from Paste Magazine, their new OGN Rain will set a new relationship against an intensely tragic setting: the 2015 floods in northern England, which affected at least 16 thousand homes.
Paste reports that Rain will follow a relationship between two young women, one who is an environmental activist, as the world seemingly falls apart around them. The story will deal with criminal mismanagement of the local Brontë wetlands, poisoned crops and the slaughter of birds and animals.
Rain will be published in hardcover, landscape format. The book hits stores Oct. 11. Take a look at Bryan Talbot’s cover art below.
