Greg Capullo has tweeted out that he has signed a new contract with DC, with plans to once again work with writer Scott Snyder – on what he calls “our biggest adventure yet!”

Take a look:

The artist did not state if this contract was an ‘exclusive’ contract, barring him from working with other publishers.

Capullo has worked consistently for DC since 2011, only taking small hiatuses to work on Image Comics’ Reborn in 2015 and then on the upcoming Spawn #300 and #301 in 2019.

Since 2018, Snyder has talked about a sequel to his and Capullo’s 2017-2018 DC event Dark Nights: Metal.

“Everything is coming back, we want to pay it forward,” Snyder said at 2018’s Comic-Con International: San Diego. “The Omega Titans, Barbatos, the Forge, it’s all coming back. Everything you read, our goal is to reward. All of it culminates in like a year in like a Metal event. I don’t know if I’m supposed to be saying that but I’m saying it.”

Initially projected to be released in 2019, Snyder later said that the series was pushed back to 2020 due to the “Year of the Villain” crossover now underway. It is unknown if that Metal sequel is still in the plans – and if so, if Capullo would return to draw it.
