Disney+’s LOKI Adds GUGU MBATHA-RAW – Report

Marvel Studios' Disney+ series <strong>Loki</strong> has cast <em>Beauty and the Beast </em>actor Gugu Mbatha-Raw in an unnamed role,&nbsp;<a href="">according</a>&nbsp;to <em>Variety</em>.

"In Marvel Studios’ <strong>Loki</strong>, the mercurial villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of <em>Avengers: Endgame</em>," reads Disney+'s description of the show. "Kate Herron directs and Michael Waldron is head writer. Debuts on Disney+ next year—2021."

<a href="">A brief clip from the show was included</a>  in Disney+'s MCU Super Bowl TV spot, showing Loki wearing the logo of the Time Variance Authority.

Sophia Di Martino was preivously&nbsp;<a href="">reported to be in talks</a>  for an unnamed role in the show.

Mbatha-Raw portrayed Plumette in Disney's live action <em>Beauty and the Beast</em>, and had roles in <em>Jupiter Ascending, Black Mirror, The Cloverfield Paradox</em>, and <em>A Wrinkle In Time</em>, among many other films and TV appearances.

<strong>Loki</strong> is in production for a 2021 premiere on Disney+.
